Get ready to start playing poker like a pro! From poker terms to poker lingo, this simple guide is packed with everything you need to stay on top of your game.

- No-limit and post-limit games
Getting in the game:
Proceed to the Reception Desk located inside the Poker Room to register with out Poker Supervisor. Let them know your game choice ans the stakes you would like to play withl If required, your name will be placed on a waiting list. If there are seats available, you will be seated immediately.
Buy in:
- 10 times the table's minimum bet
- Re-buy is 5 times the table's minimum bet
Purchasing Chips:
Poker chips can be purchased at the designated cage/cashier or directly at the Poker table
Texas Hold'em
The object of this popular version of poker is to create the best 5-card poker high using any combination of the 7 cards.
Playing the game:
Texas hold'em uses 5 community cards in conjunction with each player's own 2 cards. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 players can participate at each table.
The 2 players to the lest of the dealer begin by posting the blind bets. 2 cards are dealt to each player face down, followed by the first round of betting. Next, 3 cards are dealt face up in the center of the table, these are community cards. The second round of betting follows. Then the fourth communal card is dealt face up and the third around of betting takes place. The final communal card if dealt face up, followed by the last round of betting. The final communal card is dealt up, followed by the last round of betting. Finally, it's time for the shutdown. The dealer reads aloud all hands shown at this time and pot goes to tthe highest-ranking 5-card poker hand.
Omaha
The objective if this exciting gsme is to take the best possible 5-card poker hand out of the 9 cards dealt by only using 2 down cards and 3 commmunity cards.
Playing the game:
Omaha uses 5 community cards in conjunction with each player's own 4 cards. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 players can participate at each table.
The 2 players to the left of the dealer buttond begin by posting the blind sets. 4 cards are dealt to each player face down, followed by the furst bets. 4 cards are dealt to each player face down, followed by the first round of betting. Next, 3 cards are dealt face up in the center of the table, these are the community cards. The second round of betting follows. Then the fourth communal card is dealt face up and the third round of betting takes place. The final communal card is dealt face up followe by the last round of betting, Now, it's time to see who takes the pot. The dealer reads aloud all hands shown at this time and the highest-ranking 5-card poker hand wins.
Omaha High/Low
Also known as Omaha Split 8 or Better, the object of Omaha High/Low is to create the best 5-card poker high hand and/or low hand out of the 9 card dealt by only using 2 down cards and 3 community cards.
Playing the game:
Omaha high/low uses 5 community cards in conjunction with each player's own 4 cards. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 players can participate at each table. The 2 players to the left of the dealer button begin by posting the belind bets. 4 cards are dealt to each player face down, followed by the first round of betting. Next, 3 cards are dealt face up in the corner of the table, these are community cards. The seconf round of betting follows. Then the fourth communal card is dealt face up, followed by a betting round. The final communal card is dealt face up, followed by the last round of betting. Ultimately it's time to decide the winner. The dealer reads aloud all hands shown at this timw and the postgoes to the highest-ranking 5-card poker hand and, if applicable, the lowest-ranking 5-card poker hand as well. The winning lowes-ranking hand may not contain any pairs and may not contain a cad higher than 8.
7-Card Stud
The object of the game is to create the best 5-card poker hand out of the 7 cards.
Playing the game:
3 cards are dealt to each player – 2 face down and 1 face up. The first betting round takes placel beginning with a forced bet for tthe player showing the lowest card. The fourth card is dealt face up, followed by a round of betting. 2 more rounds of dealing (face up cards) and betting follow. The final card is dealt face down, followed by the last round of betting. At last, the suspense comes to an end. Each player in the hand turns their 3 down cards face up on the table. The dealer reads aloud all hands shown at this time and the pot goes to the highest-ranking 5-card poker hand. In the case of a tie, strength of hand is determined by the suit of the tied cards in order of highest of lowest-ranking – Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs.
Poker Terms
Check - To abstain from beating, but continue to stay in contention for the port because no other player has yet bet on that round.
Bet – to make a wager by putting chips onto the pot.
Pot – the money or chips in the center of a table that players compete to win.
Call – to post an amount equal to the best of another previous players bet.
Raise – to make a bet increasing the size of a previous bet on that betting round.
Fold – to turn in the cards to the dealer to terminate play of that hand.
Blind bet – a forced bet that must be posted before the player receives any cards.
Dealer button – a marker moved clockwise arounf a poker table to denote an imginery dealer.
Forced bet – in 7-Card Stud, a required bet that starts the action in the first round of a poker hand.
Ranking of Hands
Royal flush – Highest ranking straight flush made of A, K, Q, J, 10 in the same suit.
Straight flush – 5 cards of the same suit in sequence.
Four of a kind – 4 cards of the same value
Full house – 3 of a kind and 1 pair.
Flush – 5 cards of the same suit not in sequence.
Straight – 5 cards in numerical order, mixed suits.
Three of a kind – 3 cards of the same value.
Two pair – 2 sets of pairs.
One pair – 2 cards of the same value.
No pair – 5 odd cards.
